Artecola reinforces its ESG agenda and expands its progress in sustainability.
The company presents its 2025 Sustainability Report and reaffirms its commitment to sustainable practices across its various pillars.
Sustainability has become increasingly important in the strategy of Artecola, with significant progress on various fronts of the ESG agenda. The initiatives developed by the company reflect a movement of continuous improvement with a sustainable focus in all areas. «We present the 2025 Sustainability Report with this focus. The development of new sustainable activities in all countries where we have industrial plants, which are included in the publication, reinforces our commitment to sustainability and the ESG concept,» emphasizes CEO Eduardo Kunst.
The various initiatives are part of a continuous improvement movement that seeks to incorporate sustainability in an increasingly integrated way into Artecola's strategy and operations. This was reflected in one of the main recognitions of the 2025 cycle: obtaining the EcoVadis Silver Medal, an international certification awarded to companies that demonstrate exceptional performance in sustainability. The assessment takes into account international standards such as the UN Global Compact, ISO 26000, and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The Silver Medal is among the awards given to the top 15% of the best-performing companies out of the more than 150,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis.
The strengthening of the ESG agenda at Artecola has also advanced within the governance structure. With the creation of the new Board of Directors, the ESG Committee has been formally integrated into the five management support committees. «This change has expanded the presence of the issue in strategic discussions and represents another step in consolidating sustainability as part of the company's management,» states Kunst.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL PILLARS: In product development, Artecola has been expanding the creation of solutions that contribute to more sustainable operations, as well as encouraging customers from different markets to migrate toward more environmentally friendly alternatives. In this movement, the Circular Economy and Sustainability are among the concepts present in the innovations developed by the company, bringing business needs closer to solutions that also consider environmental impact. On the social front, Artecola's activities have also expanded in Latin America through the Francisco Xavier Kunst Foundation. «We want to promote a positive influence in the communities where we are present, contributing to the strengthening of projects and initiatives that generate social impact and stimulate local development,» highlights the President.
Another important milestone in 2025 is related to climate change. Artecola invested in conducting an assessment to develop its decarbonization plan, creating a baseline for calculating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in operations and products.
The Sustainability Report is available on the Artecola website (www.artecola.com), under the «Sustainable Artecola» tab.
