The company has declared itself Carbon Neutral since 2022.
Its committed performance aligned with ESG principles (environmental, social, and governance pillars) recently earned Artecola the EcoVadis Silver Medal, an international recognition that evaluates companies’ sustainability and ESG practices based on leading global standards such as the UN Global Compact, ISO 26000, and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). This rigorous certification assesses 139 criteria.
The company has also been awarded the Diamond Seal, the highest category of the Origen Sostenible program. This certification is the only ESG and sustainability certification in the world focused on the footwear value chain, created by Abicalçados – the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association – and Assintecal – the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear, and Artifacts.
