Artecola marked its presence (from February 3 to 6) at the latest edition of the International Footwear & Leather Show – IFLS and the International Exhibition of Leather and Supplies, Machinery and Technology – EICI. The fair was held at the Gran Salón of Corferias, in Bogotá, Colombia, in its 51st edition. Our company participated with its adhesive and cleaning solutions for the footwear market, offering a comprehensive sustainable product line for the preparation and bonding of various materials.
IFLS+EICI is the most important business platform in Colombia and the Andean region for the footwear, leather, and leather goods sector. The event brings together the best finished products, along with a wide exhibition of supplies, machinery, components, and technology, consolidating its position as the main meeting point for entrepreneurs, buyers, and key players in the value chain. Artecola will be located in Pavilion 19, stand 3172.
A sustainable reference in the sector, Artecola continuously develops new lines of sustainable products with lower VOC (volatile organic compounds), free of toluene, and expanding, year after year, water-based and hot melt technologies. The company’s sustainability management is structured around three pillars: Chemistry of Sustainable Innovation, Chemistry that Connects and Develops People, and Multilatina Chemistry that Catalyzes Transformation. The company has declared itself Carbon Neutral since 2022.
Its committed performance aligned with ESG principles (environmental, social, and governance pillars) recently earned Artecola the EcoVadis Silver Medal, an international recognition that evaluates companies’ sustainability and ESG practices based on leading global standards such as the UN Global Compact, ISO 26000, and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). This rigorous certification assesses 139 criteria.
The company has also been awarded the Diamond Seal, the highest category of the Origen Sostenible program. This certification is the only ESG and sustainability certification in the world focused on the footwear value chain, created by Abicalçados – the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association – and Assintecal – the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear, and Artifacts. Further advancing its sustainability practices, Artecola Colombia has been certified under ISO 14001, which recognizes the proper implementation of the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
